and Control Design Engineer plays a role in the successful delivery of assigned
projects (water / wastewater treatment plant), reporting directly to the Lead
EIC Engineer.

This role
demands a solid foundation in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) principles
and a keen willingness to develop technical excellence, either at the proposal
stage (project tendering) or at the project execution stage (basic and detailed
design). The Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer is expected to produce
high-quality work under supervision and demonstrate a strong commitment to
learning and professional growth.

He/she
assists and supports the Lead EIC Engineer in the execution of I&C tasks,
contributing to the timely production of all related deliverables. This
includes preparing design outputs, control system architecture, I/O lists, loop
diagrams, instrumentation datasheets, hook-up drawings, functional description
specifications, control philosophy, flow chart, general instrumentation
specification, control panel layout, automation basis and related documentation
— all of which are reviewed and approved by the Lead EIC Engineer. He/she
ensures that assigned tasks meet the required standards of quality, practice
safety by design, comply with project schedules, and align with the employer’s
requirements and budget.

The Instrumentation
and Control Design Engineer will operate as part of the EIC (Electrical,
Instrumentation & Control) Team within a structured project engineering
group, led by one Engineering Manager / Technical Coordinator.For Project Tendering (Proposal):Support with the analyzation of tender requirements (Employer’s requirements), identifies project’s risks and opportunities related to I&C discipline.Support with the production proposal documentation related to I&C discipline alongside with Lead EIC Engineer (i.e. control system architecture, I/O lists, loop diagrams, instrumentation datasheets, hook-up drawings, functional description specifications, control philosophy, flow chart, general instrumentation specification, control panel layout, automation basis…)Support with the preparation (or is involved in the preparation of) the I&C related costs for the project.Supports the Lead EIC Engineer and Proposal teams for technical presentations, clarifications and/or negotiations with the Client / Consultant.For Project Execution (Preliminary and Detailed Design):

The Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer carries out I&C engineering duties in collaboration with Lead EIC Engineer assigned to the project. The responsibilities include:Support with the production of I&C design deliverables, i.e. control system architecture, I/O lists, loop diagrams, instrumentation datasheets, hook-up drawings, functional description specifications, control philosophy, flow chart, general instrumentation specification, control panel layout, automation basis, etc.Support with the production of I&C specification/datasheets for inquiry, checking suppliers’ offers (compliance with the inquiry), preparation of the technical comparison table (TCT) with the suppliers’ offers, technical ranking of the offers, and participation in the selection of the supplier together with the Lead EIC Engineer, Engineering manager, Project buyer and Project manager.Follow up and review the engineering documentation provided by the suppliers / sub-contractors once purchase order has been placed.Collaboration support with the other engineering disciplines, such as:Check and comment on electrical, civil and mechanical equipment datasheets about I&C information and alignment with the I&C design.Provide input to the drafting team for the preparation of the general layout, networks drawings, buildings and works drawings (reservations for communication cables, instrument cables, electrical cables / cable trays, location and loads of instrument and control equipment, panels, etc.)Technical support to the construction sites during Civil, Erection and Commissioning stages (for changes, malfunctions, clarifications, etc.).Support for the approval of the I&C design deliverables approval by Client / Consultant, reply to comments (RRAA).Practice Safety by Design culture for I&C systems through hazard identification, incident investigation, and competency training aligned to applicable local and international standards.Participation in FAT / SAT.In addition, the Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer is
directly responsible for the following, on the project assigned to him/her:Ensuring the production is made according to project schedule.Checking all deliverables (technical review of the documents).Working closely with the Project Buyer and Expediter.Identifying
technical risks / opportunities linked to the electrical discipline and working
closely with the Lead EIC.Engineer and Engineering Manager / Project Manager to
secure them.Who we are looking forMinimum of 5 years’ experience.With at least 2 year experience for infrastructure/EPC
projects (ideally wastewater treatment plant projects, or petrochemical
projects), during engineering phase (basic / detailed design).Bachelor’s
degree in Electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation &
Control Engineering, or a closely related technical field.Registered
Electrical engineering/ Registered Electronic Engineering/ Instrumentation
& Control Engineering Diploma or Certification.Technical Skills Knowledge in I&C design
activities in accordance with applicable local and international standards.Meticulous, committed, structured.Time management and organizational skills.Communication skills as a team member.Proficient user of Word, Excel.Knowledge of I&C design related software (AutoCAD, Visio, AVEVA
engineering knowledge is a plus).
