SociétéRCI FS Ltd UKDescriptif du posteThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence, reporting, and data integration solutions that enable informed business decision-making.
This role requires strong technical skills in Microsoft data technologies, a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and excellent problem solving and communication abilities.
Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain reporting and business intelligence solutions.Develop, optimise, and support SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and queries.Create and maintain ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).Develop operational and management reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytical requirements.Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements.Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.Participate in solution design activities and contribute to system architecture discussions.Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance of developed solutions.Support systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.Maintain documentation in line with development and support standards.Follow software development best practices and contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Develop and support ASE SQL and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions.Collaborate with business users and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Knowledge and Skills Experience with ASE SQL (Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise) development.Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views, functions, and complex SQL queries within ASE SQL environments.Experience in query optimisation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting database-related issues.Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.Experience maintaining data integrity, database standards, and coding best practices.Advanced SQL Server (T-SQL) development experience.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).Experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS.Strong Power BI development skills, including dashboard and report creation.Experience in data modelling and database design.Understanding of solution design and application architecture principles.Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.Experience performing unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous.
